Governance

At Willow Park we have an Interim Executive Board (IEB) in place of a Governing Board.

The IEB work as a team, having responsibility for making sure the schools provide a good quality education for all our pupils. Raising educational standards in our schools is key to our work.

Our IEB members have high expectations for all pupils and our aim is to ensure our children get the best from their time in school.

Our IEB promotes effective ways of teaching and learning when helping to formulate and set the schools' aims and policies. They do this together with the principals, who are responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of their schools.

Our IEB members support and challenge the principals by gathering views, asking questions and discussing what's best for the schools.

The Interim Executive Board roles and responsibilities including:

  • being accountable for the performance of the schools to parents and the wider community
  • assisting in planning the schools' future direction
  • making decisions on the schools' budgets and staffing, including the performance management policy
  • deciding how the schools can encourage pupils' spiritual, moral and cultural development
  • making sure the schools provide for all pupils.

The board meets monthly and does not comprise of any sub-committees.
